Steak & Potato Barbecued Grilled Cheese

  • 1 Organic Sirloin Steak
  • Local cheese of your choice (we like a local, sharp cheddar)
  • 1 Organic Potato (per serving)
  • Butter
  • Garlic
  • Salt & Pepper
  • Olive Oil
  • White Onion
  • Bread
  • Begin by thinly slicing your potato. Brush it with olive oil, garlic, salt and pepper - Place slices on grill and let cook until soft. In a small skillet, sauté 1 whole onion until caramelized. In the meantime, prepare your steak - we like ours covered in generous olive oil, salt, pepper, Hungarian paprika and cayenne. When your steak is done, let cool to room temperature and slice thinly. Cut and butter your bread and place on grill until grill marks form - then place a slice of cheese of each side of the bread and let melt, follow by layering on your potato and steak slices, sautéed onion and garnish with fresh chives or green onion. Assemble your sandwich and re-heat on barbecue until hot.
