Open A Beer With A Blade
Anyone can open a bottle by smashing the neck off with a cleaver; using the back of a knife is a much easier (and safer) approach. Some say if you can't open a bottle with the back of a blade you don't deserve a drink. We won't go that far - but it's a useful (and impressive) skill. Hold the neck of the bottle tightly, with the top of your hand just under the bottom of the cap. Place the back of your knife blade across the top of your knuckle and wedge it between the edge of the cap and the bottle. In one swift movement, pry it up and off (with the blade moving downwards).
