Mount Storm King Hike, Washington State

A spectacular hike that remains relatively little known in the pacific northwest. With an elevation gain of 640m (2,100f) in only 2.7km (1.7 miles) this hike is not just your Sunday stroll through the park. The trade off? Sweat and a great workout for a ridiculously good view. Though the hike is short, it will knock the wind out of unconditioned hikers. A steep and steady climb has you gaining about 365m per 1.6km (1,200ft per mile) in altitude.
