L.L. Bean Maine Hunting Shoe

The Maine Hunting Shoe was originally introduced by Leonwood Bean in 1912. Since then the shoe remains the original - with a few minor improvements. While still maintaining its moccasin status, waterproof leather was introduced along with a thinner and more flexible sole allowing you to adequately feel the forest floor. Part of the success of the boot is its versatility, in barnyards or in cities, in snow or rain. To this day the Maine Hunting Shoe remains a legacy, and continues to be made in Maine, one pair at time.
