Chamonix-Mont Blanc - Dining at 4,000m

Chamonix-Mont Blanc, home of the first winter Olympics, is one of the oldest ski resorts in France and is known as the "gateway to the European Cascades" for good reason. With the world famous Mont Blanc summit overhead at 4,800m (15,780 ft) it's no surprise that this village draws in adventurers, skiiers, climbers and backpackers alike. The village itself holds all the luxuries of a ski resort admist some of the most beautiful mountainscapes in the world, including two of Europe's highest restaurants, at over 3,800m (12, 605 ft) both offering spectacular 360degree views. This is a place to come reflect, explore and feel small. Easily one of the most beautiful vistas.
