Binchotan Charcoal Stick : Natural Water Purification
Carbon (charcoal) filtering is a long-known natural water filtration method. Carbon has an active positive charge that attracts the negatively charged water contaminants; most effectively removing chlorine, volatile organic compounds, pathogenic organisms and unwanted sediment. The Kishu Binchotan Charcoal is made from Japanese oak that was slowly heated in an oxygen-deprived kiln until turned charcoal. Simply place a stick into your jug of water. Each stick will last about three months; at the end of its life you can crush it into organic plant fertilizer.
