Berg Lake Campground, Mt. Robson
Driving in towards Mt. Robson, it's hard not to notice the highest mountain in the Canadian Rockies as one of the most spectacular. There is no better place to admire the 3000 meter rock face towering above you than the Berg Lake Campground. Situated at the northern base of the peak, just a days hike from the highway, the name of the campground is actually suggestive to small iceberg floating in the lake, caused by pieces of the glacier falling into the water. A stay at Berg Lake should be minimum of 3-4 days. The trek in alone is a good 20km; After a days rest the Berg Lake area offers a variety of world class hiking and truly unforgettable views in the middle of nature.
