Beer Battered Fried Chicken


1 cup organic flour  

1/2 tsp chilli flakes, to taste (optional)

2 tsp paprika

1 tsp salt

Pepper (to taste)

1 1/2 tsp baking power

3/4 cup of your favourite beer

2 tbsp brown sugar (optional)

2 organic eggs, beaten

1 whole, organic chicken

Mix all dry ingredients in a large bowl. Stir until well blended. Whisk eggs in separate bowl, and add them into the dry ingredients followed by the beer. Mix until smooth with no clumps. Generously coat each piece of meat with the batter, and quickly place into your oil, set on high (we use organic canola oil for highest heat). Fry your chicken together with some thinly sliced potato wedges. Plate and serve with a cold beer.
