Antica Torre Agriturismo
For those planning to take their travels to Italy; we encourage all to trade in regular hotel accommodations for Antica Torre, a 700 year old family-run farm turned 'biological hotel' (Agriturismo - hotel and working farm). Here in the rolling foothills and vineyards of Salsomaggiore, a region known as the 'food valley' between Tuscany and Lombardy, you can expect to be immersed in the deep food culture of artisan made “Culatello”, Prosciutto di Parma, Wines, Parmesan Cheese and Balsamic Vinegar. You can choose rooms in the sustainably renovated farmhouse or 700-yr old watch tower and expect all of the amenities to keep you comfortable. More-so, you have the opportunity to explore over 243acres of rolling hills dotted with Medieval Castles and ruins, or sight-see the neighbouring towns of Parma, Modena and Milano and come back to award-winning home cooked meals (wine made from their own vineyard included). Francesco and his family pride on a zero-impact philosophy - they grow and make all of their foods, wines are made using grapes grown on the farm, they raise sheep, pork and chickens and any energy used is generated via solar panels.
